The process for Midnight in Manhattan taught me a great deal. I spent countless hours before we even got into the space pre-visualising around 80% of the show due to our limited plotting time. This preparation made a huge difference and allowed us to create a truly engaging and visually strong production. This has been my biggest lighting project so far, so it gave me a real opportunity to demonstrate my skills, and I believe it went extremely well. The director was especially pleased because, with most of the show already programmed, the cast were able to have full dress runs, something that had previously been a luxury at this venue due to tight schedules. Overall, I’m really impressed with how everything came together and couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
