Oscar Jenner

I started Technical Theatre in 2021 at my secondary school, working as a Stage Manager for Beauty and The Beast then moving on to Designing, Programming and Operating all the lighting for Matilda, Addams Family and Wizard of Oz. Along with Summer and Winter Showcases as well as drama performances. I am still Head Lighting Design and Operator today working on Chamsys with a full LED Rig.

In 2024 I joined the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts to pursue Technical Theatre whilst deepening my knowledge in Lighting Design, Sound Design and Operation, Scenic Construction and Stage Management. This has opened up a wide range of opportunities for me to gain experience with both old and new technologies as well as networking with Industry Professionals whilst attending events such as PLASA.

Since being at college, I have gained more experience working in live events on Avolites, GrandMA and Chamsys systems designing and busking gigs as well as also expanding my knowledge of followspotting on both Robert Juliat fixtures in the Bristol Hippodrome and Redgrave Theatre and RoboSpot setups on Goodtimes Live 2026
