The Stroud Shindig comes to the Subrooms every year and gives upcoming local bands the chance to perform on stage. For this event, we used our in-house crew, and I was responsible for lighting the main stage throughout the evening. I also helped transform the downstairs area into a DJ space and made sure the lighting there supported a more immersive atmosphere.

It was a really enjoyable night, as I had the freedom to experiment with the rig and try out new combinations. Between sound check and doors opening, I updated positions, programmed effects, and tested different colour palettes. All of these are now saved to my personal showfile for the venue, so I always have a reliable backup and everything laid out exactly how I like it on the desk.
